History
The Kappa Foundation of Columbia, SC was established on April 5, 2013. The foundation is committed to supporting educational opportunities for students through scholarships and organizes an annual golf tournament to raise funds. By providing financial assistance and fostering community engagement, the Kappa Foundation strives to positively impact the lives of individuals and the local community.
Education
The foundation efforts to support an initiative on education by assisting with the
education demands of our public-school students and college-bound youth in our
community. Particularly those students who are in economically disadvantaged
environments.
Mission
The Kappa Foundation of Columbia was established with a mission to raise funds to
support:
- Promoting activities and scholarships designed to enable the youth in our community to
reach their full potential and become successful, productive citizens. - Promote and support community-based organizations, programs, and activities
designed to enhance the lives of needy individuals within the South Carolina Midlands
geographical region.
Community Involvement
The foundation supports initiatives on community involvement by working with other
organizations to develop collaborative partnerships and implement evidence-based
actions that support the improvement of our community
